This combination of words brings back the warmest and most exciting memories and vibrations of spirit, body and mind…
It is always so impressive to see the scale and at the same time feel the ease with which everything starts winding up, happening and progressing since the very moment you get involved in an atmosphere of the FREE DANCE.
We are impressed by full house in theatres during performance nights, high quality of media coverage of the event, people’s interest in what’s going on here, number and geography of workshops participants, attracted sponsors and officials, but which is most important is the great shot of energy of openness, hospitality and well wishing, thanks to which every participant feels him being the dearest festival guest…
Being the organizers of the festival in Moldova, from our own experience we know how, putting it mildly, not easy it is to ORGANIZE the festival and how difficult are its components.
It is so important for a dancer and a viewer not to feel and not to understand all those hardships, when you’re on stage or in a theatre hall, at a press conference, in a class, communicating with colleagues, etc. Then there’s time and energy for most important things, i.e. an artist, teacher, spectator to give and receive, i.e. for exchange, mutual enrichment.
In this particular sense we’d like to name the organization at a Dnepropetrovsk fest a piece of organization art.
It’s a fact,that in Dnepropetrovsk there’s a FREE PHENOMENON. This is a well known and doubtless truth. But the energy like this isn’t accumulated by itself. All great events start with a person who doesn’t stand still grudging, but moves ahead and protrudes in space people who follow him.
What else we like about the Dnepropetrovsk fest… It’s a lot…
…That the performances are so diverse and are not alike. The spectrum providing a deeper understanding of contemporary art and how to approach it.
…That such a ‘not easy’ phenomenon as contemporary dance feels good here.
Children… Never ever at any other festival did we see that such an energy of support and desire to be involved would come from such a young generation. Catching their broad smiles, answering their questions or listening to their replies, just watching them one gets an incredible shot of at least good mood. But, as a rules, one gets much more. Their playful energy is another treat of the festival.
We like it that we can meet good friends here…
We like the places where we used to stay during the festival.
We like the people…
We like to come here….
Which is the best sign, in our perception…
Dnepropetrovsk festival is the festival we want to come to once again.
