“…the Ukrainian B-boys community were enthusiastically and recklessly discussing the results of the 1^st International Break Dance Festival BREATHTAKING-UKRAINE which took place in

Dnipropetrovsk on 15 -16 November, 2008…

Sensationally, for the first time in history the festival brought to Ukraine Storm, a legend-man, thanks to whom even the most conservative critics had started taking the phenomenon named ‘hip-hop culture’ for serious, considering this mass youth stream as one of the mainstreams of European and world cultural process. Storm headed the festival’s international jurors board (B-boy Freeze (Sweden) and B-boy Frankie (USA), thus rocketing its rating to fantastic heights. 

Everyone who was lucky to attend the ‘Тime Out’ Club on 15^th and 16^th November, were unanimous that the festival was a success. Its main value became its stunning, i.e. dynamic, professional and homey atmosphere. 16 ТОР teams from Ukraine, Russia and Belarus together with 10 young Ukrainian teams, who submitted their applications to participate in the festival’s JUNIORS nomination, obtained a unique opportunity to meet on the dance floor. The Ukrainian B-boy community hasn’t seen anything like that for long! The competition of 220 dancers (only from Ukraine representatives of 26 cities arrived to Dnepropetrovsk) became a real theatrical action, not yielding Shakespeare’s masterpieces in terms of the depth of drama and the conflict heat…”
