Dance Theater: Movement towards Freedom.

We’re continuing our creative laboratory devoted to dance theater. The experience we received within our February-March first course turned to be so positive and bright for everyone, that we made a joint decision (which is the best and correct one) to move ahead…

I’ll just tell you what we are going to do in April.
We will continue to get acquainted in practic (on the basis of our own body and consciousness experience)with the artistic phenomenon, which became the mainstream of the world dance process and got the name of contemporary dance. Our laboratory offers the ability to receive an intensive practical dance experience in the process of learning the basics of: release based technique, various modern dance techniques,partnering,
contact improvisation.
We will improvise a lot: with body, voice, space, with music and without it. There will also be our favorite contact jam sessions, i.e. the top of free dance, which is improvisational by nature!
I dare presume, this course will primarily be of interest for those who already «tried on» formal dance techniques and reached the level when they got boring at some point.
My pedagogical work and experience of participating in numerous international performances made one simple truth obvious for myself, which is “Teaching is reminding the others that they know everything as well as you do”. I totally agree with Richard Bach here.
