“Pippy Longstocking”’s rehearsal is in full swing at ‘Drugie Tantsi’.
A joyous fairy tale by a genial Swedish writer Astrid Lindgren about a funny girl with a kind heard, sharing soul and too hot head became a favorite book for the children of the whole world. The novel is translated into 70 languages and published in more than 100 countries. One cannot but remember here children and adults’ limitless and sincere love to another character imagined by Lindgren, i.e. Karlson. That same Karlson who lives on the roof.
Both Pippy and Karlson became children’s beloved heroes, because they fully respond to children perception based on logic laws which can often be understood by children only, and, unfortunately, long forgotten by us, adults.
A fantastic literary material, wonderful music by Vladimir Dashkevitch, clever texts by Yuliy Kim, whose author’s hand is immediately and correctly recognized by its special intonation combining irony and ease, reasonable skepticism and ability to underline a thought, removing all extra emotions. All this became that same inspiring impulse with which the work of our creative laboratory with children started.
Today 35 our students aged 5 to 14 are involved in the creative process. Each of them has his own experience, i.e. some of them have gone a long and interesting way with ‘Drugie Tantsy’ by now, the other ones who passed through a very demanding creative casting, are just approaching the end of their first academic year. They all are so different and so cool! We believe that each one of them has a God’s spark inside which can sparkle (we hope very much for that!) any time thanks to a creative atmosphere of the laboratory we managed to achieve and, of course, to their own feedback and hard work.

15 JUNE at 19.00 in Architects House (1, Karl Libknekht Str.)
